The UV Resistant Waterproof Distribution Box is a high-performance electrical housing designed for permanent outdoor residential installations and garden power management. Standard ABS plastics undergo "photo-oxidation" when exposed to solar radiation, leading to brittleness and yellowing. Our enclosure is treated with Hindered Amine Light Stabilizers (HALS), ensuring the material retains 95% of its tensile strength and color even after 5,000 hours of direct UV exposure.
The interface between the base and the cover features a continuous polyurethane (PU) foam gasket. Unlike manual rubber seals, the machine-applied PU gasket ensures a seamless, high-compression fit that prevents moisture ingress under heavy rainfall and humidity cycles common in garden environments.
The housing wall thickness is maintained at a minimum of 3.5mm. This provides an IK08 impact rating, protecting internal circuit breakers and SPDs (Surge Protection Devices) from accidental mechanical impacts often encountered during garden maintenance or residential construction.
For modern "Smart Garden" applications, the plastic composition is RF-transparent. This allows for the installation of Wi-Fi-enabled timers or Zigbee controllers inside the box without the signal attenuation (Faraday cage effect) associated with metal enclosures.
